Number of active EV Li-ion cells factories now at 85 globally
The number of factories producing Li-ion cells for usage in EV batteries is currently at more than 85 globally. Furthermore, there are over 30 factories announced to be built or already under construction.
According to the Germany-based business data provider Fygen, the majority of factories and projects are located in China (47), followed by the rest of Asia (27), Europe (22), and North America (19).
